James Annor Tetteh, recognized as Nana Tea on social media, is preparing to enroll young Patience in school as she celebrates her fifth birthday. This act of generosity is not an isolated incident; Nana has consistently engaged in various philanthropic activities, earning recognition from esteemed institutions. The narrative of Patience and her family is what people will describe as a stroke of “luck”.
Patience and her family enjoyed a happy and peaceful life in a small Western town until tragedy struck two years ago. Involved in a devastating vehicular accident on the Gomoa Akotsi Winneba to Accra road, their Benz Sprinter, carrying over 20 people, crashed. Miraculously, everyone else onboard lost their lives except Patience, her sister, and her mother.
Despite the loss of one of her legs in the accident when she was just three years old, Patience has defied the odds, displaying resilience in facing the challenges that followed.
Life is undeniably challenging for Patience and her family due to her condition, but they remain grateful for their survival. The family is determined to provide support to help Mary lead as normal a life as possible.
Adding to the tale of resilience is the upcoming celebration of Patience’s fifth birthday on Friday, December 8. Is this twist of fate, a blessing, or sheer luck?
