Reggae and dancehall artiste, Emmanuel Andrews Samini, popularly known in the music industry as Samini has said emphatically that he does not need Sarkodie to be relevant in the music industry.
In 2014, Samini collaborated with Sarkodie on one of his hit songs, “Love Rocks”. According to Samini, he produced his verse on the song within twenty-four hours of having received the Song from Sarkodie.
Not long after releasing the song, Samini revealed that Sarkodie started ignoring him when he asked for a collaboration with him. This did not go down with Samini as he called Sarkodie out on social media for his “disrespectful” behavior towards him.
Almost a decade on, there is still bad blood between these two legends. Speaking to Berla Mundi on TV3, Samini reiterated that he was not cool with Sarkodie and had not forgiven him because Sarkodie was yet to apologize to him. He said the “small boy” disrespected him by ignoring his messages and pretending as if nothing had happened.
Samini believes every good act deserves to be reciprocated and Sarkodie doing otherwise and trivializing his accusations is nothing short of disrespectful.
Nonetheless, Samini said he would gladly forgive Sarkodie should he come and apologize to him because no one can hold grudges forever.
