A 32-year-old woman in the Eastern region of Ghana has delivered quadruplets at the Eastern Regional Hospital, Koforidua.
The woman delivered the babies through a 45-minute cesarean section at the hospital on the 26th of October.
According to the doctors, the babies, two boys and two girls are all doing well although they have been placed in neonatal care for proper care and supervision because they were delivered at 33 weeks.
Management of the hospital is seeking financial assistance for the babies as they need thorough medical care but their parents are not financially sound.
The father of the babies is a peasant farmer and cannot bear the financial burden alone.
The parents and the management of the hospital have appealed to the entire public to come to their aide as soon as possible.
